RdV Vineyards, a Virginia-based boutique winery that produces Bordeaux-style wines, is to roll out its new wine Exsurgo on 1 December 2012.

Exsurgo is a blend of cabernet sauvignon, merlot, petit verdot and cabernet franc with deep ruby core, crisp red notes and touch of pastry and dried herbs.

The wine is the brainchild of marine Colonel Peter Petronzio and RdV owner Rutger de Vink, who along with the wounded service members was involved in the harvest process and stomping of grapes into barrels.

To support the launch of new wine, the winery will hold an intimate party on 1 December 2012.

Initially, the winery will release around 5,000 bottles of Exsurgo and will donate 100% of the proceeds from its sales to Hope For The Warriors, a national nonprofit organization that assists combat wounded service members, their families and families of the fallen.

Hope For The Warriors president Robin Kelleher said Exsurgo is the perfect name for a wine that will benefit their strong service members and military families.

"Hope For The Warriors® thanks RdV Vineyards for helping our service members stand, rise and recover from their injuries," Kelleher added.

Exsurgo will be available for sale at the launch event and online at http://www.rdvvineyards.com/exsurgo/ from 4 December 2012.

The wine will be shipped to 17 states within the US including California, Oregon, Colorado, Wyoming, Texas, Missouri, Los Angeles, Illinois, Michigan, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, New York, New Hampshire, Maryland and Washington DC.
