Northwest Cellars Winery, a producer and marketer of custom-designed wine labels in Kirkland, Washington, has extended its primary tasting room and event centre.

The winery has obtained the location on lease basis next to its existing tasting room in Kirkland for the expansion of the tasting room.

The new area has increased the Kirkland wine tasting and event room’s area by 800ft².

The expansion is expected to allow the company to meet the growing demand of special event booking requests by area party, meeting and event planners.

Northwest Cellars Winery will officially inaugurate the wine tasting room on 14 April from 12-6pm and on 15 April, from 12-5pm situated at 11909 124th Avenue NE, in the new Kirkland Warehouse District.

Northwest Cellars Winery owner and winemaker Bob Delf said the winery operates distinctive trade formula through its customized wine label.

"We grew over 25% last year and we are finding that we just don’t have enough space; especially for events. Our expanded space will be able to handle small or large events, up to 75-100 people, depending on the configuration," Delf said.

"With Green Apple Catering right next door, we can offer everything from happy hour type events to sit down dinners; in addition to our enhanced meeting space. And of course Vino, our winery dog, can now invite more of his friends over for play dates."

Northwest Cellars Winery also arranges a number of charitable fund raising programs for animals in the region.

It also produces economical range of wines under the Northwest Cellars label.

The company also operates another wine tasting room at 120 N Stevens St., Spokane, Washington.

Two new wine tasting rooms by Skylite Cellars and Waving Tree Winery will also come up at 11901 124th Avenue NE in Kirkland in April.
