Moss Adams, a California-based accounting and business consulting firm with expertise in the wine industry, has partnered with Rabanal & Smith to cultivate further growth of wine industry in Napa Valley.

With effect from 1 August 2012, the combination will help Moss Adams strengthen its ties with wine and agricultural communities across the globe, which includes more than 200 wineries and vineyards in wine regions in California, Oregon and Washington alone.

Napa-based Rabanal & Smith, which provides accounting, tax and business advisory services to the wine industry and Napa business community, was formed in response to the increased need in the wine industry for compliance services such as audits, reviews and tax preparations, and tax and traditional consulting services like estate tax planning, financial forecasting and benchmarking.

Now with the expertise of Moss Adams, Rabanal & Smith can provide its clients with a broader set of resources and relationships for their businesses.

Moss Adams partner and wine industry group leader Jeff Gutsch said the company is pleased to deepen its commitment to the Napa community.

"Jennifer and Amy’s skills, passions and deep credibility in the local wine industry make them the best partners we could have in this new venture," Gutsch added.

Rabanal & Smith co-partner Amy Smith said the company remains fully committed to its clients and the wine industry as a whole in the Napa Valley.

"By joining forces with Moss Adams, we are increasing our professional network and expanding the level of services, capabilities and expertise available to our clients," Smith said.
