Miravante Brands, an independent brand development company, in partnership with Kretek International, a privately held distribution and marketing firm, is offering a range of wines in its newly developed single-serve pouches, Nuvino.

Designed to meet the needs of growing consumer demands, Nuvino allows customers to have a full glass (187ml) of wine on the go without opening the full bottle.

Additionally, it is light, portable, unbreakable, re-sealable, without any corkscrew and its PreservPak keeps the wine fresh for at least 12 months, making it more customer friendly option.

Miravante Brands president Jason Carignan said their research shows that today’s discriminating consumers, in particular a skyrocketing number of millennials, are seeking wines that allow them to experience unique varieties from around the world, but with the simplicity of a convenient, single-serve format.

The company initially plans to offer four premium wines, which are sourced from four different countries, in pouches.

The four varietals are Sauvignon Blanc from Chile’s Maule Valley, Chardonnay from South Africa’s Cape Winelands, Malbec from Mendoza’s Maipú wine region in Argentina and Red Blend from Australia’s Swan Hill wine region.

The Sauvignon Blanc wine carries aromas of white flowers and crisp citrus notes that are married with green apples and white peaches, whereas the Chardonnay offers vanilla, pineapple and ripe peach flavours.

The deep violet coloured Malbec offers plum, black currant and vanilla notes, whereas the Red Blend carries silky smooth flavours of plums, mulberries and hints of oak.

Each of the pouched wine is expected to be sold at manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $3.99.
