Inniskillin, a Canada-based winery, has introduced a new contemporary wine label for its Estate Collection Tier.

Produced after a gap of 15 years, the new label was designed under the guidance of creative design firm HKA Designs.

The new label for the Estate Collection retains the Art Nouveau wood cut style of the label and replaces the original icon with vine and grape icon that is embossed in metallic gold, pewter and copper to reflect the status of the wines.

The Inniskillin logo and icon are fixed on a matte black background to enhance the metallic rendering of the icon.

The new packaging for Inniskillin’s Estate Collection Tier will enter the Ontario markets at the LCBO, Wine Boutique and Wine Rack in September 2012 and will also be stocked in the brand’s Wine Boutique in British Columbia as well as in government and select private retailers across Western Canada.

Inniskillin marketing director Franco Timpano said the company’s philosophy has always been founded upon its commitment to producing outstanding wines from premium Canadian grapes.

"This was reflected in Inniskillin’s first label, dating back to 1974, and it is our goal to maintain this philosophy in the new design," Timpano added.

"We worked closely with HKA Designs to update the label to combine a sense of elegance with subtle textures and richness, inspired by the texture and quality of our wines."

Inniskillin further plans to release new vintages under ultra premium and luxury tiers in spring 2013.
