Goelet Wine Estates (GWE), a family-owned fine wine company involved in marketing, sales and distribution of wine brands, has selected Texas-based The Mark Wine Group to handle its national accounts business.

The selection of The Mark Wine Group is a part of series of organisational enhancements undertaken by GWE in 2012 to drive efficiency of the GWE sales and also enhance its brand visibility.

The Mark Wine Group is a family-owned, fine wine company that represents the family-owned and independent wineries and importers to hotels and restaurants throughout the US.

Some of them include Aquitaine Wine Company, Bogle Vineyards, Boisset Family Estates, Bouchaine Vineyards, Dalla Terra, Dreyfus, Ashby and Co, Fess Parker Winery and Vineyard, Justin Vineyards and Winery, Freixenet, Hahn Family Wines, McManis Family Vineyards, Mionetto USA, Swanson Vineyards, Vine Connections, Willamette Valley Vineyards and Vintage Point.

Under the new partnership, the wine group is expected to generate substantial incremental revenue for both partners in the coming years.

GWE CEO Adam Torpy said Mark Gmur brings to them 20 years of domestic and international experience in the wine and hospitality industries.

"His reputation within the industry and his relationships with key accounts are outstanding. We couldn’t be more pleased with this appointment," Torpy added.

"We recognize the contribution national accounts makes not only to our bottom line, but more importantly, as a marketing vehicle for our brands."

GWE has a list of global distribution network that represents wine brands such as Clos Du Val, Taltarni, Clover Hill, Domaine de Nizas and Kato.
