Chateau de Sours, a Bordeaux-based producer of fine wines, has selected California-based sales, marketing and import company Old Bridge Cellars to handle its sales and marketing activities in the US.

Established in 1972, the Chateau de Sours produces some of Bordeaux’s leading red and white wines, including La Fleur d’ Amelie Red and White wines; Chateau de Sours Red, White and Rose wines; Reserve de Sours Sparkling Rose wine; La Source Red and White wines and others.

These wines are available at a price range of $15 to $40.

From 1 January 2013, Old Bridge Cellars took over all the sales and marketing activities of the winery in the US.

Old Bridge Cellars president Rob Buono said they have extended their portfolio with the addition of Chateau de Sours.

"In the past year, we’ve brought on wineries from New Zealand, Italy and Oregon, all in line with our mission to provide compelling wines from real winemakers," he added.

Chateau de Sours owner Martin Krajewski said they have had success in the UK, Ireland, Canada, Europe, China, Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand.

"The US market is starting to welcome a more approachable style of Bordeaux wines and we’re here to deliver," Krajewski added.
