Florida-based The Aristocrat Group Corporation’s (ASCC) brand management division Luxuria Brands has received approval from the US Patent and Trademark Office for the proposed name of a new brand of ultra-premium vodka to be released soon.

The certificate of approval, which will be received in next few days, is a major achievement by the company, which also plans to produce another brand of vodka.

ASCC CEO Robert Federowicz said the approval is part of their plans to bring the distilled spirit on store shelves as soon as possible.

"It’s been a challenge to remain patient through this approval process, but we’re looking forward to releasing the name and bottle design of the world’s next top ultra-premium vodka as soon as we receive our COLA approval," Federowicz added.

Following the approval, Luxuria Brands will apply for Certification of Label/Bottle Approval (COLA) from the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB).

The COLA will certify the new spirit to have been created, labeled and marketed in line with federal laws and regulations.

ASCC initially plans to target the consistently growing super-premium vodka segment, which has increased by 32% to $1.2bn in the last two years, according to industry trade group the Distilled Spirits Council (DISCUS).

The success of the brand will allow ASCC to compete with industry majors like Limited Brands, Procter & Gamble, New York & Company and Chico’s FAS.
