US-based zero-calorie beverage producer Zevia has introduced a range of eight ready-to-drink organic tea flavours.

The new ready-to-drink tea range includes Black Tea, Green Tea and herbal flavours, in addition to two caffeine-free options.

Similar to other Zevia products, the teas are naturally sweetened with stevia, rather than sugar.

The new Zevia Organic Tea flavours are also non-carbonated and non-GMO, as well as brewed with Fairtrade Certified Tea.

With the addition of tea, the company’s product lines include a broad range of beverages, such as soft drinks, energy drinks, sparkling water and mixers.

“we’re continuing to build on our leadership with great-tasting new products to support a low-sugar lifestyle.”

Zevia CEO Paddy Spence said: “Sugar reduction has rapidly become the number one consumer concern, with 84% of US shoppers seeking to reduce their sugar intake.

“Zevia was the first zero-calorie, naturally sweetened beverage brand, and we’re continuing to build on our leadership with great-tasting new products to support a low-sugar lifestyle.”

The new Zevia Organic Tea product line will make its public debut later this month at the Natural Products Expo West in Anaheim, California.

Zevia Organic Tea will be sold in sleek 12oz cans with a suggested retail price of $1.99 each.

Spence said with almost half of daily added sugar intake coming from beverages, the company’s products provide an easy way for consumers to kickstart a sugar reduction programme.
