US-based drinks brand has unveiled the new Cryptokiwi version of its aloe-infused water.

Inspired by Denver Nuggets’ player and brand ambassador Mason Plumlee, Cryptokiwi is the sixth stock keeping unit (SKU) and adopts its name from kiwi fruit, Plumlee’s favourite flavour, and the cryptocurrency trend.

The new drink will make its debut at the Natural Products Expo West in Anaheim, California to be held between 8 and 11 March. Cryptokiwi will be available nationwide from 1 April.

Plumlee said: “I’m obsessed with Detoxwater. There’s just nothing else out there that tastes so good and has all health benefits of aloe, especially the anti-inflammatory properties that help me on and off the court.

“I’m thrilled to be part of the creation of their newest flavour and to help promote it at the launch party.”

The brand reports to have doubled its sales and expanded its distribution footprint by more than 300% in 2017.

“With Mason on board as a partner to help promote the flavour and tying it to cryptocurrency, we feel extremely well-positioned to make a splash and resonate with our loyal fans and reach new ones.”

The new flavour will be added to Detoxwater’s product offerings on its newly redesigned website.

Established in 2015 by Kenneth Park, Detoxwater’s products contain aloe vera in order to promote wellness.

Park said: “I’m beyond excited to finally be able to share Cryptokiwi with our consumers who have been instrumental in our enormous growth in the last year and eagerly awaiting a line extension.

“With Mason on board as a partner to help promote the flavour and tying it to cryptocurrency, we feel extremely well-positioned to make a splash and resonate with our loyal fans and reach new ones.”

Aloe-infused Detowater is a ready-to-drink vegan beverage. It is made with vitamins and electrolytes and contains only 30 calories per bottle.

The product is also available across the US in Original (Lychee and White Grape), Mangaloe, Piñamint, Appleberry and Peachberry.
