Hemp-based beverages distributor Wanderport is set to introduce a new line of alcoholic drinks in partnership with Elite Beverage International (EBI).

To be sold worldwide, the Comisario Tequila line is currently available at select Costco stores, MGM Resorts and more than 100 establishments in the US and Mexico. It consists of tequila blanco and aged expressions Reposado and Añejo.

Wanderport’s president and interim CEO Liliana Vo said: “Due to past unclear regulations regarding hemp and CBD, we have temporarily put a few initiatives on hold.

“With the pending passing of the Farm Bill, we are refocusing our efforts on hemp cannabidiol (CBD) related products.

“Due to past unclear regulations regarding hemp and CBD, we have temporarily put a few initiatives on hold.”

“We have also been working on other wellness-related initiatives to expand our revenue streams and plan to provide additional details in the near future.”

Wanderport currently owns a minority stake in EBI and is working to open new markets in Asia.

The company is also leveraging EBI’s wide network of distributors to sell Hemp Brown Ale and Hemp India pale ale (IPA) craft beers from partner Sipp Industries.

All three companies are expected to sell each other’s products in the near future.

In addition to the new alcoholic drinks, the company has restarted its coffee beer initiative with a craft brewery in Southern California to establish its initial local footprint.

Wanderport is also planning to collaborate with Sipp Industries to evaluate the feasibility of producing another hemp beer from the California or West Coast region.
