V Group is developing a new drinks line within the urban beverage market.

The new beverage line will feature a mixture of flavoured soft drinks that have active ingredients similar to energy drinks. They will be offered in white 22oz polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles.

V Group is currently establishing development and distribution partnerships with other companies in the Greater Los Angeles area, which will play a vital role in developing the flavour profile, product name and label design. V Group will provide guidance on structure, manufacturing and finances, as well as distribution services.

V Group’s president and CEO Larry Twombly said: “We, as a company and an organisation, are in a unique position to not only participate in this education but also reap the rewards gained from utilising the knowledge and workforce proprietary to the undermarketed urban beverage market.”

The company intends to formally launch the new brand in October at The National Association of Convenience Stores Trade Show (NACS) n Las Vegas, US.

The company will develop the new brand through a specially created division. It is planning to develop the final version of this division over the next 30 days. In addition, V Group has not confirmed if the new organisation will remain under its umbrella or will be a candidate to be spun off publicly.
