Tata Waters, a subsidiary of Tata Global Beverages, and Washington-based company Talking Rain Beverage have announced plans to launch Himalayan Natural Mineral Water in the US.

Initially, the product will be distributed by retailers in Chicago and Southern California, as well as online via Amazon.

Tata Waters president Stephen Rice said: “Himalayan Natural Mineral Water is one of the first premium Indian fast-moving consumer goods brands to target the broader American audience and we look forward to working with Talking Rain to establish a strong market presence.”

The company claims that the Himalayan Natural Mineral Water product contains a balanced pH, as well as includes the correct proportion of natural minerals and electrolytes.

“Himalayan Natural Mineral Water is one of the first premium Indian consumer goods brands to target the American audience. We look forward to working with Talking Rain to establish a strong market presence.”

Himalayan Natural Mineral Water will be available in two sizes; the 500ml bottle will cost $1.59 and the 1l bottle will be priced at $2.39. Consumers can also purchase a four pack of 500ml bottle for $5.69.

Tata Global Beverages has tea, coffee and water subsidiaries. Other brands within Tata Waters include Tata Water Plus and Tata Club.
