Diageo’s gin brand Tanqueray, who has been producing gin for more than 185 years, has expanded its product range with the release of Tanqueray Sevilla Orange.

The company has said that creation of its orange flavour gin is through the infusion of its Tanqueray’s London Dry gin with an essence of orange.

Diageo North America Gin senior vice-president Christina Choi said: “We are thrilled to introduce Tanqueray Sevilla Orange into the US market just in time for summer. This vibrant flavour innovation is perfectly crafted for bartenders and consumers to enjoy at sundown and anytime in between.

“We encourage them to enjoy and serve Sevilla Orange responsibly as we remind spirits drinkers that gin is officially in.”

Initially, the flavour will be available in select Florida markets.

Tanqueray Sevilla Orange was first launched in Europe last year and is now available at select accounts in Orlando and Miami in one-litre bottles. The company is planning to launch the drink in 750ml bottles this October.

Mural artist Nicole Salgar said: “Working with Tanqueray Sevilla Orange was an exciting experience. Their team did a great job of capturing the Miami feel with this mural and it was a very fun challenge for me to execute.”

The new Tanqueray Sevilla Orange will be an addition to Tanqueray’s existing gin portfolio, which includes London Dry Gin, Tanqueray No. Ten Gin and Tanqueray Rangpur Gin.

Additionally, the company offers vodka under Tanqueray Sterling brand.

In June, Diageo expanded its ready-to-drink range with the launch of two bottled gin and tonics in the UK market.

The two variants Tanqueray Gin & Tonic and Tanqueray Flor de Sevilla & Tonic are available in 70cl glass bottles.
