Stewarts Enterprises (SEI) has launched Stewart’s Spiked Seltzer, a line of low-calorie hard seltzers in the north-east region of the US, due for a countrywide roll-out.

The sugar malt brew-based seltzer comes in three flavours, namely Root Beer, Orange Cream, and Black Cherry, along with one new flavour, Raspberry Lime. There is scope to expand flavours later in 2021.

Founded in 1924 in Mansfield, Ohio, Stewarts Enterprises features as a classic American brand, bringing a beverage that mixes the traditional with the contemporary in the fast-growing seltzer market.

SEI founder and president Frank Rubba said, “With nearly 100 years of heritage, Stewart’s is a premium brand you know you can trust; with Stewart’s Spiked Seltzer, we are dedicated to the highest quality product and aligned with the brand’s strong history. We are aiming to quickly become America’s chosen hard seltzer!”

Commenting on the business expansion of Stewart’s Spiked Seltzers, SEI CEO Peter Strahm said: “At the heart of Stewart’s is the American dream – freedom, family, fun, and opportunity. Our goal with Stewart’s Spiked Seltzer is to bring back the ‘good life’ with a classic taste of Americana, made modern as a hard seltzer.”

There are 100 calories in each 12oz can of Stewart’s Spiked Seltzers, as well as 1g sugar, 1g carbs and 5% ABV.

This line is claimed to be gluten-free, vegan, and naturally flavoured.

Stewart’s Spiked Seltzers is available for purchase in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania.

SEI has also licensed the production and distribution of a Hard Rock-branded hard seltzer, Hard Rock Hard Seltzer. The flavours are cocktail-inspired, and the seltzer will be available in 2021.
