US-based Spoetzl Brewery has expanded its India Pale Ale (IPA) beer and Session Ale line-up with two new additions.

Beginning this month, Shiner Wicked Juicy IPA and Shiner Day Quencher Session Ale will be introduced in Texas and launched across the US next month.

With 5.7% alcohol-by-volume (ABV) and 60 international bitterness units (IBU), Wicked Juicy IPA is a dry-hopped, unfiltered beverage with Citra hops offering a low bitterness. It will be available in 12oz and 19.2oz cans, as well as on draught.

“Both beer styles are very much on trend and experiencing record category growth.”

Day Quencher is dry hopped session ale that is brewed with Mosaic hops for a fruity aroma and a crisp, clean finish.

With 4.6% ABV and a moderate hoppiness of 18 IBUs, Day Quencher will be available in 12oz and 19.2oz cans.

Spoetzl Brewery marketing director Gregor Mina said: “Both beer styles are very much on trend and experiencing record category growth.

“It’s exciting to expand our portfolio with new variants to showcase the true craftsmanship of Shiner while complementing our core beers that have been fan-favourites for decades.”

The new beer products will join Spoetzl Brewery’s other craft brews, including Shiner Bock and Shiner Light Blonde. The packaging for both varietals is bold and takes a different direction from previous Shiner releases. The designs are eye-catching and the animated short spots are a direct reflection of the characteristics that both beers embody.

Established in 1909, Spoetzl Brewery brews beer using traditional methods and recipes.
