Danone North America’s beverage brand Silk has forayed into the ready-to-drink (RTD) coffee segment with plant-based RTD Lattes.

The dairy-free Lattes will be available in Espresso and Mocha flavours. These products, created using a blend of almond milk and oat milk, offer a creamy, bold, balanced taste.

Both the Espresso and Mocha flavours are blended with cold-brew Arabica coffee and rich espresso to offer a clean and sophisticated taste.

To create a balanced chocolate flavour, the Mocha Latte features three different types of cocoa products.

The company’s senior brand manager David Robinson said: “Skip the line, chatter and spotty Wi-Fi with Silk Lattes, the perfect way to savour a coffeehouse-quality latte from the comfort of your home.

“Silk is excited to enter the coffee category with a dairy-free and hassle-free option that brings barista-quality coffee into your home, minus the upcharge.”

Silk Almond & Oat Latte is a Non-GMO Project Verified product and the coffee used in the RTD have been grown by UTZ Certified farmers.

Packaged in a plant-based bottle, Silk RTD Lattes are now available at retail outlets across the US including Target, Kroger, HEB and Fairway for a suggested retail price (SRP) of $5.49 per 48oz bottle.

Last October, Silk expanded its Oat Yeah oat milk range with the addition of Oat Yeah The 0g Sugar One.

The zero-sugar beverage variant will be an addition to Silk’s existing line up, which includes The Plain One, The Vanilla One and The Chocolate One.
