Pure Azul Beverage has launched its new ready-to-drink (RTD) sparkling tequila beverage range in the US.

The new RTD range has been produced using blue agave tequila and sweetened with agave nectar.

Packaged in a 12oz can, Azulana will be available in original, lime and pineapple rosemary flavours, with distribution exclusively in the Southern California region.

Azulana co-founder and CEO Henry Morita said: “Our goal was to take a spirit so rich in heritage and offer it in a way that ultimately speaks to today’s modern tequila enthusiast. We are incredibly proud to introduce this contemporary, craft cocktail to consumers.

“Passionate tequila enthusiasts are incredibly selective about the tequila they choose to consume. At the same time, we live in an age of convenience and are constantly looking for ways to simplify the things that we enjoy.

“Azulana sits at the perfect intersection between these two ideologies – providing consumers with an authentic, artisanal 100% blue agave tequila cocktail that can be conveniently enjoyed without any mixing or shaking.”

With 4.3% alcohol by volume (ABV) and 145 calories per can, the new range will be available for $13.99 per pack of four.

The product will make its debut at Rose Bowl in Pasadena. It will later be available at Bristol Farms, from 28 August and at Northgate Markets in Southern California in the following weeks.

Pure Azul Beverage plans to distribute its product across the US market throughout 2019 and 2020.
