US-based CBD-infused beverages manufacturer Puration has unveiled plans to launch Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC)-based beverages in the Canadian market.

The company plans to introduce the THC Savor drink in the market after the Canadian government legalises the sale cannabis-infused beverages later this month.

Puration claims that its THC Savor drink has been produced using its license of Kali-Extracts’ US Patented Cannabis Extraction Process.

The company will announce the roll-out plan for the drink in the Canadian market on 31 October.

Puration highlighted the draft recreational cannabis legalisation bill in Mexico in conjunction with its recent distribution agreement in the Latin American region.

Last year, the company generated revenue of $1m and, in the first six months of this year, it reported another $1m.

The company’s management aims to generate revenue of $4m by the end of this year, by entering into distribution agreements with companies in the strategic market.

Last November, Puration entered an agreement with Generex Biotechnology to produce cannabidiol-infused water NuGenerex CBD HydroHealth High Alkaline Water.

According to the agreement, Puration refined its patented extraction process to develop proprietary CBD formulations for NuGenerex CBD HydroHealth Water, retailed as therapeutic supplements for health maintenance.

The CBD used in the NuGenerex CBD HydroHealth product line was derived from industrial hemp using a patented extraction process that yields ultra-purified and characterised CBD formulations.

In November 2017, the company announced plans to launch cannabis-infused beverage in Canada in July 2018.
