Functional sparkling water maker Clear/Cut Phocus has announced the launch of Phocus Cola flavoured Sparkling Water with natural caffeine.

The company claims that its beverage is first-of-its-kind premium sparkling water that contains natural caffeine from tea and the amino acid L-theanine.

The company’s co-founder Tom O’Grady said: “With Cola, we wanted to go back to why John Mittel and I launched Phocus in 2017 – to develop a cleaner alternative to sodas and energy drinks.

“Phocus Cola really makes you rethink what it means to be a sparkling water versus a soda by deriving the classic cola flavour from natural extracts, but maintaining the Phocus commitment to natural caffeine, refined carbonation, and most importantly, no bad-for-you additives.”

The beverage is said to be the seventh flavour in the portfolio. Other flavours in the portfolio include Peach, Grapefruit, Blood Orange, Yuzu & Lime, Cucumber and Natural, currently available across the US.

The company said that its new beverage is produced using blended extracts of cinnamon, citrus, and vanilla, offering notes of caramel to create the traditional cola sensation Americans have loved for decades.

Consumers can purchase Phocus Cola for $19.99/12 pack of 11.5oz cans, available for immediate purchase via single order and monthly subscription service options online on the company website.

Last year, the company introduced sparkling water at CVS stores.
