US-based speciality coffee company Peet’s Coffee has released a new range of beverage flavour capsules for the Nespresso OriginalLine machines.

The new Espresso range features the Ricchezza, Crema Scura, Ristretto and Nerissimo flavours, which were developed to meet the single-serve consumer demand.

The new range of beverage flavour capsules is rated by intensity, indicating the darkness of the roast and the blend’s complexity.

Ricchezza features layered flavours of espresso, blossom, berry and brown sugar, and is claimed to have a low-intensity rating. The Crema Scura is a thick espresso with full-bodied earthy, nutty flavours and a low-medium intensity rating.

With a medium-high intensity rating, Ristretto offers a chocolate truffle flavour complemented with crushed spice, rich fruit and espresso. The Nerissimo offers a balance between espresso’s bitter bite and crème brûlée sweetness and carries a high-intensity rating.

“We have already had an overwhelming response from our Peets.com consumers and preliminary reviews on Amazon.com look promising.”

Peet’s Coffee consumer packaged goods (CPG) marketing senior director Robyne Eldridge said: “Peet’s Coffee is excited to launch Nespresso OriginalLine compatible capsules for fans of intense espresso.

“As an industry leader with more than 50 years of coffee expertise, launching Peet’s Espresso capsules reinforces our commitment to bringing Peet’s signature bold style to consumers in whatever format they drink.
