Patrón Spirits has expanded its Citrónge liqueur portfolio in the US with the addition of a new flavour.

The new Patrón Citrónge Pineapple will be added to the existing liqueur range, which includes orange, lime and mango varients.

Crafted using Mexican Piña Miel pineapples, the new product offers a ripe pineapple taste, with a long-lasting light aftertaste.

Patrón Spirits global chief marketing officer Lee Applbaum said: “Pineapple continues to be a hot trend both in culinary and mixology, and increased interest in innovative and delicious cocktails, particularly in the Tiki movement, is further driving the momentum of this very flavourful tropical fruit.

“Pineapple continues to be a hot trend both in culinary and mixology.”

“Patrón Citrónge Pineapple is a perfect addition to the Citrónge family; it pairs beautifully with tequila, and it has a tremendously versatile flavour profile that makes it an excellent addition to a wide variety of handcrafted cocktails.”

Patrón Citrónge Pineapple is now available at spirits and liquor retailers across the US for a suggested retail price (SRP) of $22.99 for a 750ml bottle. It is also available in 375ml and 1l sizes.

In April this year, Bacardi completed an acquisition of Patrón Spirits International, which owns Patrón.
