Optimum Nutrition (ON) has expanded its Essential Amin.O. Energy product line with the addition of a new ready-to-drink (RTD) performance nutrition product.

Also available as a powder, the new zero-sugar Essential Amin.O. Energy Plus Electrolytes is claimed to contain amino acids to help support muscle recovery and natural caffeine to replace electrolytes lost through sweat during a workout.

ON’s senior brand manager Trevin Morton said: “Athletes love our Essential Amin.O. Energy line for a great tasting, anytime-energy boost.

“The growing popularity of sparkling beverages inspired us to create an entirely new, refreshing RTD, which is perfect to grab-and-go.”

“The addition of electrolytes, amino acids and caffeine from natural sources means Essential Amin.O. Energy Plus Electrolytes supports performance, endurance and active living.”

The new product provides 100mg of caffeine per serving, which is extracted from natural sources such as green tea and green coffee beans. Each can also contains 5g of amino acids and critical electrolyte nutrients such as potassium and sodium.

With around 15 calories per serving, Essential Amin.O. Energy Plus Electrolytes RTD beverage variant is available in watermelon, strawberry burst, blueberry lemonade and grape flavours.

The powdered form is available in pineapple twist, tangerine wave, watermelon splash and cranberry lemonade breeze.
