The Duke Sauvignon Blanc

The Duke 2014 Sauvignon Blanc, the exclusive creation of The Wine Fusion from the MacDonald Family vineyards of Marlborough, New Zealand, will be launched this month across trade channels.

Blended from the finest fruit, the invigorating flavour is designed to go with salads, vegetable dishes and seafood.

For the purpose of exclusive South West distribution, The Wine Fusion has teamed up with the Cornwall-based, family-owned St Austell Brewery, which was founded in 1851. Each bottle will be sold at a suggested retail price of £25-30.

Director at The Wine Fusion, Alistair Morrell, stated: "Our key priority is to create contemporary and quality wines that provide customers with an original option and point of difference across their wine lists that generate strong profit margins and client satisfaction.

"The Duke is an exceptional wine and a product of our combined 75 years’ experience within the wine business — from concept creation, blending and design; we have invested our very best expertise and industry knowledge and really do believe the wine speaks for itself."

Having secured exclusive distribution for The Duke over the South West, Wine Buyer at St Austell Brewery, Louisa Fitzpatrick, remarked: "We are delighted to be working with The Wine Fusion on the distribution of The Duke. Wine has always been an intrinsic element of our Brewery’s offering and our specialist wine team have the industry expertise and commercial skillset to provide customers with an esteemed and personable service to secure innovative and exciting wines, such as The Duke, onto wine lists."

Including inns and pubs, St Austell owns more than 170 outlets throughout the South West.

Expecting other listings shortly, the listed Marlborough wine will grace Sussex and its surrounding areas too with the help of distributors Hennings Wine Merchants.
