US-based craft beer maker Omission Brewing has introduced Ultimate Light Golden Ale in 12oz cans.

As part of a pilot launch, the Ultimate Light Golden Ale will be released to Phoenix, Denver, Austin, and Boston. The firm plans to expand to more markets across the US by next year.

This latest move is in response to a growing demand for its five-carb, 99 calorie beer, which was released in bottles earlier this year.

Omission Brewing brewmaster Joe Casey said: “’Put it in cans!’ That’s what we’ve been hearing from Ultimate Light Golden Ale fans ever since we launched our new beer earlier this year.

“This latest move is in response to a growing demand for its five-carb, 99 calorie beer, which was released in bottles earlier this year.”

“We’ve been wanting to expand Omission beers into cans for a while now, and Ultimate Light, with its refreshing easy-drinking flavour, low calories and carb count, and low alcohol content, is the perfect beer to start with.

“Some of Ultimate Light’s biggest fans are in Phoenix, Denver, Austin, and Boston, which is why we’re bringing the new packaging to those cities first.”

Omission’s Ultimate Light is the new beer in the gluten-removed beer segment, which has been brewed with traditional beer ingredients.

Established in 2012, Omission Brewing is reported to be the first craft beer brand in the US that focuses exclusively on brewing gluten-free beers.

Its gluten free lineup includes Omission Lager, Omission Pale Ale, Omission IPA and now Omission Ultimate Light Golden Ale.
