US-based Trinchero Family Estates (TFE) has joined Neyers Vineyards to strengthen its wine portfolio.

The new partnership will also complement a strategy of investment in California vineyards and production facilities.

Neyers Vineyards' co-founder Bruce Neyers said: "To partner with a family-owned company that has the infrastructure, capabilities and reputation of Trinchero is a great opportunity for us.

“This partnership will allow us to continue to focus on the quality of our wines while having a remarkable amount of resources and distribution assets at our disposal."

Last year, TFE acquired two other Napa-based wineries Mason Cellars and Ziata. The addition of Neyers will provide a new platform for an on-premise and wine club business to TFE.

TFE's president and chief operating officer (COO) Bob Torkelson said: "We are thrilled to bring Neyers into the TFE portfolio as a partner, and continue to grow our offerings with these distinct, vineyard-driven wines that have earned Bruce and his family a well-deserved reputation."

TFE started in the Napa Valley in 1948 and has since grown into a wine business in the US.

The company has a portfolio of more than 40 brands, which include Sutter Home, Ménage à Trois, Trinchero Napa Valley, Napa Cellars, Folie à Deux, Terra d'Oro, SeaGlass, and Fre.
