Terlato Wine has acquired the 120-acre Klipsun Vineyards in Red Mountain AVA in Washington, US.

The grapes grown at the Klipsun Vineyards are sold to wineries including Quilceda Creek, Seven Hills, Col Solare, and Betz Family in Washington.

Terlato Wine Group's chief executive officer (CEO) and president Bill Terlato said: "This is an important acquisition for us.

"Klipsun Vineyards is the source of some of the most coveted fruit in the state and Red Mountain is an area of Washington we've always admired. We intend on being a steward of this property for many generations."

Terlato Wine Group will add Klipsun Vineyard to its portfolio of vineyard holdings, which includes Chimney Rock, Mee Lane, Pope Valley, and the Estate Vineyard at Rutherford Hill in Napa; Sanford & Benedict and La Rinconada in the Sta. Rita Hills; Malakoff Vineyard in Victoria, Australia; and holdings in Friuli Colli Orientali, Italy.

Terlato intends to continue the tradition of selling Klipsun Vineyard grapes to high-quality winemakers. The company has a portfolio of more than 85 wine brands from producers in more than 12 countries. The group also includes the family's winery investments and partnerships in several wine regions.
