In partnership with US-based brewery Anheuser-Busch, Starbucks will release its ready-to-drink (RTD) Teavana craft iced teas to select grocery and convenience retailers in New Hampshire, New York, Vermont, and Missouri.

Starbucks claims that the new iced-tea products have been produced using Teavana tea and botanicals and are free from artificial flavours. The company also stated that the teas contain fewer than 100 calories and will be available in four different flavours.

Pineapple Berry Blue Herbal Tea contains tropical citrus notes, hibiscus, and green rooibos. Peach Green Tea flavour offers a combination green tea, sweet peach notes, and Pacific Northwest mint.

The other two iced tea flavours include the Passion Tango Herbal Tea that is produced by combining lush hibiscus, apple, and Thai lemongrass; and the Mango Black Tea features sunny mango flavours, fine black tea, and hints of lime.

Last year, the two companies agreed to work together to produce, bottle, distribute, and market Teavana Craft Iced Teas in the US market. As part of this agreement, Starbucks will contribute its Teavana’s tea expertise, offer industry-leading retail activation and consumer engagement capabilities.

On the other hand, Anheuser-Busch will be responsible for production, bottling, and distribution to retailers across the US through its partnerships and network of wholesalers.

Initially, Teavana Craft Iced Teas will be available in grocery and convenience stores. Some select flavors will also be sold in participating Starbucks locations nationally later this year.
