Smirnoff, a vodka brand owned by Diageo, has launched Smirnoff Red, White & Berry in the US.

The limited edition vodka, which is a mix of cherry, citrus and blue raspberry flavours, has been rolled out ahead of the US presidential election and is designed to ‘celebrate freedom’.

Smirnoff vice-president for marketing Jay Sethi said: "From Memorial Day to Independence Day and beyond, there are so many opportunities during the summer months to celebrate American pride and inclusivity.

" With the release of Smirnoff Red, White & Berry, we hope to bring people from all cultures and traditions together."

The drink is currently available at retail outlets across the country.

Smirnoff Red, White & Berry comes at a recommended retail price of $12.99 for a 750ml bottle, and contains 30% alcohol by volume.

The Smirnoff brand is claimed to be a top selling vodka brand in terms of volume in the US. Smirnoff drinks are sold in 130 countries worldwide.

Diageo’s other brands include Johnnie Walker, Crown Royal, Smirnoff, Cîroc, Ketel One, Captain Morgan, Baileys, Don Julio, Tanqueray, and Guinness.
