Consumer products and environmental technologies development company ROK Stars has announced that its ROK Drinks division signed a multi-year agreement with Verdici to distribute ABK Beer in Sweden.

The deal has been approved with immediate effect.

“We are really pleased to be expanding the distribution of ABK Beer into Sweden, a market we believe that will appreciate our incredible heritage and award-winning beers."

ROK Stars was founded by American industrialist John Paul DeJoria and UK entrepreneur Jonathan Kendrick.

DeJoria is co-founder of Paul Mitchell, a privately held hair care business in North America, as well as co-founder of Patron Tequila.

Since acquiring the 700-year-old Aktien Brauerei in Kaufbeuren (ABK) of Bavaria in May 2013, ROK Stars has been exploring new avenues to support its international growth and sales. The company has also re-designed and re-packed a wide range of beers for international export.

ROK Stars chairman Jonathan Kendrick said: “We are really pleased to be expanding the distribution of ABK Beer into Sweden, a market we believe that will appreciate our incredible heritage and award-winning beers.

“Sweden is key to our global deployment plans for our beers which, for the first time since the brewery was founded in 1308, are available for global distribution."
