Remy Cointreau Group has entered into exclusive negotiations with the shareholders of the Domaine des Hautes Glaces distillery to acquire its entire share capital.

Since 2009, Domaine des Hautes Glaces has produced single malt whiskies from the Trièves Mountains, an area located at 900m altitude in the French Alps.

The whiskies are certified organic, manufactured traditionally from various grains (not only barley and rye, but also spelt and hull-less oats).

Purchasing the Domaine des Hautes Glaces distillery represents an opportunity for Rémy Cointreau to incorporate a high-end brand into its portfolio and increase the value of its inventory. The deal could be signed before the end of 2016.
