Food and beverage distributor Qifeng Food Technology has entered a new partnership to distribute Celsius Holdings’ fitness drink ‘Celsius’ in China.

The latest move marks Celsius Holdings’ entry into the China market and nationwide distribution of its brands.

Under the terms of the deal, Qifeng Food will market, sell, and distribute the Celsius brands through its network of more than 500 distributors.

Qifeng Food Technology founding partner Madame Wang said: "Partnering with Celsius is a great opportunity for us to promote health throughout China. 

“It is a robust product line of great tasting, functional drinks backed by scientific research that gives Celsius a competitive edge."

Celsius's original line is available in seven sparkling and non-carbonated flavours in 12oz cans. It is also offered in single serve powdered packets.

The company claims that its drink is free from preservatives, aspartame, high fructose corn syrup, and does not contain genetically modified organisms (GMO). It is also said to not include artificial flavours or colours, and is also kosher and vegan certified.

Celsius Holdings CEO and chief financial officer John Fieldly said: "Launching the Celsius brand in China is a major initiative in our continued global expansion. China is a market we believe will add significant growth for the company.

"Qifeng's network of distributors, national expertise, and proven ability to execute provides us with a strong partnership to maximise our exposure and speed-to-market."

Qifeng Food Technology distributes food products and also concentrates on the sale and production of beverages and snacks.
