Pyramid Breweries, a US-based brewery, has added Ditto Session to its IPA portfolio.

The company claimed that its new drink contains citrus and tropical fruit hop flavours and has a subtle caramel malt backing.

Ditto Session has joined other Pacific Northwest-style drinks such as IPA brethren, Outburst and Thunderhead.

"Beer aficionados will taste delicate malt notes infused into the brew with a blend of pale, caramel and wheat malts."

Pyramid Breweries head brewer Ryan Pappe: “Ditto is dry-hopped with two Pacific Northwest hop varieties, Amarillo and Calypso, and includes three kettle hops, Nugget, Delta and Chinook.

“Beer aficionados will taste delicate malt notes infused into the brew with a blend of pale, caramel and wheat malts.”

Session IPAs are growing in popularity amongst craft beer enthusiasts due to lower alcohol by volume (ABV) levels.

Ditto Session has 4.5% ABV and 45 international bitterness units (IBU).

Pyramid Breweries general manager Robert Rentsch said: “Pyramid's IPA collection enjoys a strong legacy of well-liked, hoppy brews.

“With a diverse range of ales, each of our IPA brews features something exceptional and distinctive for the hop lover. Ditto is unique to the line-up with its low-alcohol, high-flavour profile.”

Ditto Session IPA is available at grocery outlets, restaurants, bars and pubs across Washington and Oregon.

The drink comes in 22oz bottles and 12oz six-pack carriers, as well as a part of the company's IPA Collection Variety Pack.
