Prairie Creek Beverages and Southwest Distillery & Winery have announced a joint venture to form Southwest Spirits and Wine (SSW).

SSW will be headed up by Sarvesh Sharma as the CEO and Mike Howard as the president.

This JV is expected to create a new platform within the wine and spirits industry.

“ We are delighted to form this unique partnership that combines two respected teams with deep industry knowledge and a proven track record of success.”

SSW will be headquartered in Dallas, Texas.

SSW will serve as ‘a one stop shop’ that will create, produce, service and market alcohol and wine products for its customers across the US out of its 100,000ft² facility in Dallas.

The firm’s major focus will be to develop and acquire brands to further expand its existing portfolio of equity and agency brands.

Southwest Distillery & Winery purchased this facility in 2014.

By December of 2015, Southwest Distillery had produced over 100,000 cases.

SSW CEO Sarvesh Sharma said: "Joining forces with Prairie Creek Beverages enables us to expand beyond the distillery by offering our clients a more robust platform in which to launch or enhance their product.

"With this joint venture, we are able to deliver a greater value to customers and for that, we could not be more thrilled."

SSW president Mike Howard said: "We are delighted to form this unique partnership that combines two respected teams with deep industry knowledge and a proven track record of success.

"With our expanded spirits portfolio and multiple levels of product services offered, we hope to enhance our current relationships with valued distributor partners such as Southern Glazer’s, Breakthru Beverage and RNDC by providing more products and larger sales volume opportunities."
