Planet Smoothie, a US-based smoothie company, has introduced almond milk as its first ever non-dairy milk option, which will be available for a limited time period.

The almond milk smoothies are available in three different flavours, namely Pineapple Tropi-Kale Twist, Salted Peanut Butter Cup, and Strawberry Chia Chiller.

Planet Smoothie national marketing manager Nicole Butcher said: “Almond milk is a fantastic option for consumers seeking dairy-free alternatives and it's so good you can't even taste the difference.

"Almond milk is a fantastic option for consumers seeking dairy-free alternatives."

“Planet Smoothie is excited to launch almond milk as an option in stores and continue to satisfy all of our customers with delicious tasting products that cater to specific dietary needs.”

The company claims that its three new smoothies have been developed with health and allergen sensitivity in mind and have been blended with almond milk to provide the same sweet and creamy taste as traditional smoothies.

The new Pineapple Tropi-Kale Twist contains almond milk, leafy greens, passion fruit, and pineapple, and the Salted Peanut Butter Cup features almond milk, cocoa, all-natural peanut butter, bananas, vanilla, and sea salt.

The Strawberry Chia Chiller is made using almond milk, strawberries, bananas, orange juice, and chia seeds.

The first Planet Smoothie store opened in Atlanta in 1995 and today the company has over 100 stores in 18 states.
