Mexican spirits brand Patrón has collaborated with French glassmaker Lalique to introduce Patrón en LALIQUE: Serie 2.

Created by Patrón's master distiller Francisco Alcaraz and his team, the blend is claimed to have been aged for more than seven years in Hacienda Patrón distillery's barrel room in the Highlands of Jalisco, Mexico.

Patrón en LALIQUE: Serie 2 was produced by sourcing tequila from three different types of barrels, including American oak, French oak, and Spanish Sherry.

"Both Patrón and Lalique are likeminded in our steadfast dedication and commitment to quality and craftsmanship."

The new beverage offers a sweet aroma and tastes of fruit, vanilla, raisin, and pecans.

"Around 299 bottles will be released across fine spirits retailers and in select duty-free stores, and it will be available for a suggested retail price (SRP) of $7,500."

Patrón Spirits International president and CEO Ed Brown said: "Both Patrón and Lalique are likeminded in our steadfast dedication and commitment to quality and craftsmanship.

“It's what first brought us both together two years ago to create this first-of-its-kind collaboration, and those bonds are just as strong today as we proudly introduce the second release in this groundbreaking series.”

Packaged in a crystal decanter, Patrón en LALIQUE: Serie 2 is a limited-edition product. Around 299 bottles will be released across fine spirits retailers and in select duty-free stores, and it will be available for a suggested retail price (SRP) of $7,500.

Lalique chairman and CEO Silvio Denz said: "Creating such an exceptional decanter is very challenging and represents countless hours of work due to the finesse of the design. Our master craftsmen put all of their savoir-faire and passion into producing each bottle, signifying their unwavering commitment to mastery and beauty.”
