Dutch dairy company Royal FrieslandCampina, in collaboration with the World Bank Group’s International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the Dutch development bank FMO, has entered a share purchase agreement with Engro Foods Limited, a Pakistani multi-national food and beverage company, to buy a 51% stake in the latter company.

The acquisition will help the Dutch company to stabilise and get a stronghold in Central Asia.

St Austell Brewery Company, a family-owned Cornish Brewery has taken over Bath Ales, a brewery located in England, for an undisclosed amount.

The deal included the acquisition of the Bath Ales brewery, situated between Bath and Bristol, UK; its portfolio of beer brands; and its 11-pub estate, which includes three Graze outlets and three Beerd bars.

Following the acquisition, the target company will continue to brew its beers at the current facility.

Rexam, a beverage can manufacturing company based in the UK has merged with Ball Corporation, the biggest manufacturer of recyclable aluminium beverage cans in North America after the former company bought the UK-based company for $6.1bn.

The purchase consideration has been secured by Ball partially in net debt with the European Commission’s approval, while the remaining amount has been secured by divestment of the certain can manufacturing facilities.
