US-based spirits manufacturer LiDestri Spirits has launched a new cherry flavour of its Recipe 21 vodka brand.

The new variant is the brand's 11th product, and its sixth formulation with quadruple-distilled vodka.

The cherry flavour expands the current range of traditional, grape and orange vodkas, in addition to vodka-based triple sec and peach schnapps.

"We have a premium product at a fantastic price, which we are finding is overwhelmingly satisfying to our customers."

Initially released in 2012, Recipe 21 targeted bars and restaurants, and has reported initial sales of 1,000 cases.

LiDestri food and drink product manager Ricky Tatar said: "Our vodka is distilled four times. That's higher quality than many well-regarded vodkas I could mention.

"So we have a premium product at a fantastic price, which we are finding is overwhelmingly satisfying to our customers. More significantly, it's generating unprecedented repeat sales."

With more than 80,000 cases sold last year, Recipe 21 is set to sell more than 100,000 cases this year.

The brand has also expanded its presence in Connecticut, Washington DC, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey and Florida, last year.

Recipe 21's portfolio also includes a 4x-distilled gin, white rum, blended whisky and silver tequila.

A unit of LiDestri Food & Drink, LiDestri Spirits offers multiple services such as contract manufacturing for high-proof spirits, liqueurs, wine-based products, cream liqueurs, wines and other custom or specialty liquor-based products.

Its facility develops various product formulations, sizes and designs.
