Lampados International has launched new 3D stevia sweetener Liteez for hot drinks.

The free-from meringue design is said to have the potential to address growing demand for sugar reduction in beverages. It is a completely plant-based product and is free from allergens, such as eggs, gluten, lactose, and nuts.

Liteez contains ingredients such as prebiotic fibres, which act as a bulking agent and function as a nutraceutical.

Lampados' chief executive officer (CEO) Noam Kaplan said:"Liteez is much more than just another sweetener.

"It's a fun, 3D, easy-to-use sugar replacer that doubles as a sweet treat. You can eat it as a treat when drinking tea or coffee, or if you need sweetness in a drink just stir it right in. It will completely dissolve in about half a minute."

"It's a fun, 3D, easy-to-use sugar replacer that doubles as a sweet treat."

Kaplan added that creating Liteez sweetener using stevia posed a challenge for the Lampados research and development (R&D) team since the acidity and isoelectric point of the mixture changes completely relative to using other high-intensity sweeteners, such as sucralose.

Kaplan further added: "After dozens of lab trials, we successfully overcame all these challenges, maintaining the desired texture, form, flavour, colour, and functionality of the kisses."

Lampados specialises in sweeteners and health products such as sugar-free syrups. It made substantial investment in plant facilities, including new equipment and automatic packaging systems.

The company’s manufacturing site has BRC Grade A certification.
