International Beverage Holdings has launched a second expression of Old Pulteney, a 35-year-old single malt Scotch whisky.

The first edition of Old Pulteney was released in 2012.

The second expression is a limited edition and will include only 1,254 bottles, which will be available in specialist outlets at a recommended retail price of £515.

"We are delighted to launch the second release of Old Pulteney 35 Year Old Single Malt, building on the success of our first."

This current Scotch whisky is matured in ex American bourbon and ex Spanish oak casks, which have been selected by the distillery manager, Malcolm Waring.

The packaging of the second expression is similar to that of the first but with different colours. It comes in an engraved wooden box, which is naturally coloured and non-chill filtered at an alcohol volume of 42.5%.

The new whisky is claimed to have an intial sweet and spicy tinge, with different flavours such as honey, rum soaked raisins, seasoned leather, pralines, and finished with a dried fruit note.

Old Pulteney senior brand manager Margaret Mary Clarke said: "We are delighted to launch the second release of Old Pulteney 35 Year Old Single Malt, building on the success of our first release which was in high demand amongst whisky lovers around the globe.

"It is an exceptional expression, fantastically balanced and a true representation of the skill and
quality of the Old Pulteney distillery team."

Old Pulteney single malt Scotch whisky is distilled at Pulteney Distillery, which was founded in 1826 in Scotland.
