Beverage firm Iconic brands has announced a letter of intent (LOI) to acquire a controlling interest in wine manufacturer Bellissima Prosecco.

Bellissima Prosecco was established by its CEO Richard DeCicco in collaboration with celebrity and entrepreneur Christie Brinkley.

Bellissima's collection of organic prosecco includes a DOC brut, sparkling rosé, and a zero sugar, zero carb beverage.

"We are excited to introduce this product to our Iconic portfolio and have our shareholders participate in the brand's success."

All the products are claimed to be natural and gluten-free, with organic and vegan certification.

While 14 approvals are pending, Bellissima is currently distributed across 12 markets by firms such as Southern Glazers, Empire Brands, Allied Distributing, Horizon Beverage Group, and Empire Distributing.

DeCicco said: "I'm thrilled to bring this brand to market with Christie. The product is of the highest quality and the initial market response is like nothing I've seen in the past 20 years.

"We are excited to introduce this product to our Iconic portfolio and have our shareholders participate in the brand's success."

Currently, the company is in the final stages of a negotiated settlement with certain holders of company debt, and looks to finalise an agreement.

This agreement is expected to further allow Iconic Brands to realise the full value of Bellissima's existing portfolio, as well look for new options.

Iconic Brands produces alcoholic beverages for itself and third parties. The company markets and places products into national distribution chain.
