Icelandic Glacial has expanded its distribution in Canada.

The company's bottled water is available across a range of major retailers including Walmart, Whole Foods, Loblaws, Bulk Barn, Giant Tiger, Sobeys, and Costco Business Centre.

The distribution expansion will see the inclusion of new retailers, hotels, and restaurants, as well as expand pre-existing accounts.

The product is currently available at Gibby's Steakhouse, Moishe's Steakhouse, and La Queue de Cheval Steakhouse in Montreal.

Icelandic Glacial chairman and co-founder Jon Olafsson said: "Together with Unique Foods Canada, who has been an incredible partner, we are thrilled to have increased our footprint in the Canadian market, making Icelandic Glacial widely available throughout the country."

"The increased distribution is part of a long-term trend marking Icelandic Glacial's growth throughout North America and beyond."

Unique Foods is a North American distribution company. President Jon Silver said: "It was easy making the decision to take such a high-quality, pristine brand.

"Customers love the taste and quality of the water, the packaging is second to none, and being certified carbon neutral for both product and operation puts them miles ahead."

Apart from providing the spring water in polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles, Icelandic Glacial introduced both still and sparkling water in glass bottles last year. Canada was one of the first countries to distribute the glass varieties.

Icelandic Glacial CEO Reza Mirza said: "We are extremely excited to widen availability for our loyal Canadian consumers.

"The increased distribution is part of a long-term trend marking Icelandic Glacial's growth throughout North America and beyond."
