"The partnership with Organic Valley will see organic farmers supporting General Mills’ yogurt unit."

The partnership with Organic Valley will see organic farmers supporting General Mills’ yogurt unit, which manufactures brands such as Annie’s, Yoplait, Liberté, and Mountain High.

General Mills yogurt operating unit president David Clark said: "To ensure we are able to deliver great tasting organic yogurt offerings to our consumers we are committed to supporting a framework in partnership with Organic Valley that will not only ensure a consistent supply chain, but also make it easier for dairy farmers to successfully manage through the transition to organic."

Three years ago, the company stated that it will source 100% of its fluid milk from regions in the US that demonstrate sustainability by 2020.

Founded in 1988, Organic Valley represents over 1,800 farmers in 36 US states.
