The US-based Eddyline Brewery has opened a brewery in Nelson, New Zealand, which will brew the flagship Eddyline Crank Yanker IPA.

The company stated that opening in New Zealand will allow Eddyline to produce the beer, as well as contributing to the local economy.

Eddyline Brewery founders Mic and Molley Heynekamp will oversee the new operation in New Zealand. Brian England has been appointed CEO of the US operation.

“The synergy between Colorado and New Zealand is quite amazing and we look forward to how we can create new opportunities.”

England’s focus will be on expanding distribution throughout Colorado and working with Mic and Molley to create synergy between the two Eddyline operations.

England added: "We are excited to operate globally; this expansion gives us a very unique perspective that will allow us to create new and unique beers, give our customers exciting opportunities to travel between locations, and lay the groundwork for future expansions both locally and abroad!

"The synergy between Colorado and New Zealand is quite amazing and we look forward to how we can create new opportunities for Eddyline’s customers and employees!"

In addition to the new expansion, Eddyline is freshening up the branding with a new logo and packaging for its entire product range.

England added: "Our previous logo has served us well, but we needed to simplify and enhance its features. The current packaging has a big bold design and they work well individually, but we need to have a set of designs that work well together on the shelf."
