The Domaine de la Côte estate has acquired California-based Sandhi wines from Terroir Capital for an undisclosed amount.

Domaine de la Côte is an 65ac estate vineyard located at the western corner of the Sta Rita Hills American vitacultural area (AVA), located in Santa Barbara county.

Rajat Parr and Sashi Moorman, who formed a partnership under the Domaine de la Côte estate, along with Texas-based venture capitalist Steve Webster, together own three premium estate wine brands.

"The quality we've been able to achieve from our neighbouring vineyards is important to us."

These brands include Domaine de la Côte in the Sta Rita Hills, Evening Land Seven Springs Estate in the Eola Amity Hills, and the premium Chardonnay-focused Sandhi Wines in Santa Barbara County.

Sandhi focuses on premium Chardonnay from the Sta Rita Hills appellation in Santa Barbara County.

Commenting on the acquisition, Parr said: "We're pleased to have Sandhi under the same operation as our Domaine de la Côte estate, and eager to continue our relationships with the great growers here in the Sta Rita Hills.

"The quality we've been able to achieve from our neighbouring vineyards is important to us and Sashi and I are excited to continue this project."

Planted in 2007 by Sashi Moorman, the Domaine has launched three vintages, starting with the 2011 release.
