UK-based alcoholic beverages company Diageo’s Scotch whisky brand Buchanan’s has rolled out new packaging for three of its four blends.

Buchanan’s DeLuxe, Buchanan’s Master and Buchanan’s Special Reserve will have the newly designed packages.

The brand’s Red Seal will receive a new look in 2016.

Buchanan’s intends to undergo a complete revamp to receive a contemporary look that includes cleaner labels, distinctive bottle redesigns to unify the portfolio, and bolder presentation boxes.

The new bottles will retain several iconic trademarks such as the canteen shaped bottles reminiscent of the water canteens used by British soldiers in World War , the company saidI.

The signature red seal and the coat of arms meaning ‘Hence The Brighter Spirit’ engraved on the back of the bottle will also be retained.

Diageo Scotch whisky North America director Brian Cox said: "The Buchanan’s redesign reinforces the brand’s continued evolution as one of the world’s most premium Scotch whiskies."

"The packaging has been updated, but Buchanan’s’ unfaltering whisky and quality remain the same."

Buchanan’s Special Reserve 18 and DeLuxe will begin distribution in early October and are priced at $75 and $31 respectively. Master, priced at $45 a bottle, will begin distribution in November.
