Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling

Greek bottler Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company (Coca-Cola HBC) has awarded three contracts to Switzerland-based beverage packaging provider Sidel for the installation of bottling lines at its plants across Nigeria, Russia and Belarus.

Under the terms of the contract, the packaging firm will install a new line comprising a Sidel Matrix Combi, a Sidel Matrix Labeller, a mixer, two packers, a handle applicator, a conveyor, a high-level linear palletizer and a stretch wrapper at Coca-Cola HBC’s plant in Moscow, Russia.

The new line will enable the plant to produce PET bottles in 500ml and 1,500ml formats at a rate of 45,000, 33,500 bottles per hour, resepctively.

A complete new bottling line producing 500ml and 1,500ml PET bottles at a rate of 42,000 and 22,000 bottles per hour, respectively will be installed at Coca-Cola’s Ikeja plant in Nigeria for the production of carbonated soft drinks.

With the installation slated to commence in May, the production of first saleable products from the line is expected in early July 2014.

At the Coca-Cola HBC plant in Minsk, Belarus, Sidel has installed Sidel Eurostar, the mechanical pressure level filler for bottles and its accompanying Sidel rollfed labeller. The line is producing 9,000 2l bottles an hour.
