Ambev, a beer and soda producer in Brazil controlled by Dutch brewer Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev) plans to purchase Do Bem, a Rio de Janeiro-based juice manufacturer. The terms of the deal have not been divulged.

Reuters reported Ambev as stating: "Do Bem comes to expand and strengthen the operations of our nonalcoholic division."

“This purchase will enable the company to bolster its portfolio of nonalcoholic drinks.”

Do Bem was established in 2007 and sells juices and teas in countries such as Paraguay, Brazil, France, Colombia, Spain and Portugal, and beer in the Americas. Its beer brands include Quilmes, Labatt and Brahma.

This purchase will enable the company to bolster its portfolio of nonalcoholic drinks.

This month, AB InBev purchased Birra del Borgo as part of its strategy to enter into the craft beer market in Italy. The terms of this deal have not been disclosed.

Birra del Borgo stated that the deal would allow it to secure investments for its expansion. The Italian brewery offers popular RealAle, Duchessa and DucAle.
