Natural and organic plant-based foods and beverages producer Natur International has acquired a controlling stake in Temple Turmeric Beverages from Dunn’s River Brands.

The companies have not divulged the financial details of the deal.

Established in New York in 2009, Temple Turmeric produces turmeric-based ready-to-drink beverages.

Recently, the company added adaptogenic herbs, as well as ancient superfood formulations to its original beverage line up.

Temple Turmeric president Adam Litvack said: “Temple is focused on today’s individual who is more determined to achieve the impossible; we believe that our product is liquid vitality to fuel the power within an individual.

“Temple focuses on feeding a body with liquid vitality made with organic natural ingredients and adaptogens to keep a person rooted in vitality.”

Through this acquisition, Natur intends to capitalise on the synergies of Temple’s established presence in New York and Los Angeles, in addition to the recently announced agreements that expand the latter’s distribution network to another 1,750 outlets.

Founded in 2015, Natur focuses on marketing ‘farm-to-functional’ natural and organic plant-based foods and beverages.

The company expanded its product portfolio with the inclusion of full and broad-spectrum CBD (cannabinoid) and terpene-blended consumer products.

Share Natur CEO Paul Bartley said: “This is an excellent opportunity to participate in the vibrant US health and wellness beverage space by anticipating the opportunity to expand our portfolio with these fine products in the EU and Chinese markets.

“Our company welcomes the Temple team and the launch of select European and US products as a complement to our portfolio.”
