US-based beverage maker Mooala has launched new dairy-free milk alternative Strawberry Bananamilk.

Crafted from real fruit and roasted sunflower seeds, the new strawberry flavoured beverage is said to be certified organic by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA). It also contains no added sugar and around 70 calories per serving.

Mooala’s founder and CEO Jeff Richards said: “People from all walks of life are embracing a plant-powered lifestyle, and we’re also observing that traditional dairy drinkers’ diets are shifting to incorporate more plant-based alternatives.

“Our latest innovation Mooala Strawberry Bananamilk features a blissfully sweet flavour profile that fuses real organic strawberries and bananas to give today’s shoppers a delicious, but guilt-free, smoothie base or standalone treat packed with nutrition for growing families.”

“We’re observing that traditional dairy drinkers’ diets are shifting to incorporate more plant-based alternatives.”

Mooala’s Strawberry Bananamilk is claimed to be suitable for gluten-free and kosher diets, free from added preservatives, and made from carrageenan.

The new product will be available at select Whole Foods and Albertsons-Safeway stores for a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $5.99.

Mooala Strawberry Bananamilk will join organic beverages Original Almondmilk, Vanilla Bean Almondmilk, Original Bananamilk and Chocolate Bananamilk, which are available at more than 1,500 retailers in the US, including Whole Foods Market, Wegmans, ShopRite, Costco, Albertsons-Safeway, Giant and Stop & Shop.

Founded in 2016, the company manufactures organic, dairy-free beverages. Its Original Bananamilk is organic, nut-free, dairy-free and soy-free.
